Victoria Avenue

Fire restoration project. Located on the outskirts of San Francisco, this renovated residence fell victim to an electrical fire that took more than half the house, leaving much of it smoke damaged. When the owners embarked on the house restoration, the family of five sought out an interior designer who would maintain the quaint 1939 architecture while honoring the distant past. Enter our innovative interior design firm! We infused a classic meets vintage design. Exposed ceiling beams, repurposed from barn wood, white walls, and French oak flooring, create an inviting backdrop. Classical architectural details (crown moldings, window trims), marry with vintage pieces (Louis XIV style canapé sofa, family heirlooms). The traditional kitchen boasts a marble island and leather barstools, generous counter space, and a farm sink. The master suite’s wrought iron bed was handmade by a local artisan. Originally one bath, the house was reconfigured to encompass a master bath. It’s freestanding copper tub is juxtaposed with country blue cabinetry and heavily-veined carrara marble. Layers abound with subtle textures, chevron patterns, and wood detailing.
